Did you know that 8 million tonnes of plastic is dumped into our oceans every year? Plastic bags are highly lethal to marine animals, who swim through them and become entangled.

Plastics are known to absorb a range of chemicals which over time, toxins accumulate onto floating and drifting plastic debris, and are eventually ingested by marine life.

Sustainability sets the focus on the future. It means the item or action is generating environmental, social and economic benefits, while not using up too many resources or causing pollution.

Our mission is to help reduce plastic waste and the number of plastic bags dumped into our oceans each year by using sustainable and reusable The Ecru Co. totes.

Every step we take with The Ecru Co. is a conscientious step, ensuring once we have designed a tote it is then ethically made and manufactured by our manufacturing partner in China, and a plantable seed paper label is then carefully attached to each tote. All orders are then delicately packaged in a reusable cotton garment bag followed by a compostable postage bag before being sent to its new home.
