MEET SARRAH THE CREATOR OF THE ECRU CO.

In 2018 major retailers in most states of Australia began banning single use plastic bags and instead provided consumers with the option to purchase thicker reusable bags. This was great, but for me not so much. I was that mum who made it to the store but managed to forget her reusable bags... Every time.
This went on for a couple of years and I discovered that I had replaced one bad habit with another by regularly purchasing reusable bags with each shopping trip, thus ending up with an astronomical amount of plastic waste.   
         

 

So, in 2020 I set out to cretate a tote that was not only practical, sustainable and reusable but also stylish. I wanted to ensure that a reusable tote could also make a stylish addition in the home so I would always remember to grab it on my way out to the shops. I found that the tote was not only a great shopping accessory but also fit in well with my busy lifestyle, I could use it when taking the family to the beach, spending the day at the park with the kids and it was also fantastic to use for work when carrying lunch, books and my water bottle.  In 2021 the idea to launch The Ecru Co. came to fruition and my part in reducing the use of plastic bags began, ensuring tha I help build a better and cleaner  planet for my family and yours.   If you would like to get in touch with me please feel free to email me directly at info@theecru.co.
